Make your day in New York City extra sweet. Visit HERSHEY’S TIMES SQUARE store for a one-of-a-kind, interactive experience in sweetness. Inside, you’ll find the perfect gifts for every occasion, including tins and jars loaded with HERSHEY’S chocolates, collectible HERSHEY’S souvenirs, HERSHEY’S clothing and toys. Outside, the 215-ft tall, 60-ft wide store facade is the largest permanent fixture ever constructed in Times Square. Featuring 34 dimensional props, four steam machines, over 4,000 chasing lights, 30 programmable lights, 56 neon letters, 14 front-lit signs, and every major signage technique used today. Right after eating lunch at this small little cafe in New York City I noticed a circular sculpture in front of this building. Standing in the center I snapped this very interesting photo of a skyscraper.

Central Park in New York City in the middle of winter. Horse drawn carriages passed through the park and artists lined the passage ways.
Peking: The four-masted Peking was launched in Germany in 1911 to make roundtrip voyages to South America around Cape Horn, Africa. The South Street Museum rescued the ship from a boat graveyard in England in 1975. A 12-year restoration project brought back the Peking's full set of wire rigging. The tallest mast is an amazing 18 stories above the main deck. Below decks, visitors can see historic photographs and watch a film of one of Peking's sailing trips around the perilous Cape Horn. The United Nations is the site of some of the most significant events in recent history, from the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948 to the unprecedented Millennium Summit in September 2000 that brought together about 150 heads of State and Government. Since 1952, over 37 million people have taken the tour of the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Every year nearly a million visitors from all over the world come through the gates to see the place where world leaders meet and international issues are discussed.

Night photography of Time Square in New York. At the start of the first World War, Times square was the center of the Theater district and attracted a large number of visitors. This made the square an ideal place for billboards. In 1917 the first large electric display billboard was installed. 11 Years later, the first running electric sign was let for the first time, to announce Herbert Hoover's victory in the Presidential elections. The billboards have become such a tourist attraction for the area, that the zoning now requires the buildings to be covered with billboards! The European Paintings Rooms at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. These rooms are always crowded, and for good reason. The heavyweights on display here alone are worth a trip to the museum: Rembrandt, El Greco, Velázquez, Vermeer. And just down the hall, the walls are awash in blurry brushstrokes; Cézanne, Renoir, Monet, and Pissarro each have dedicated galleries which are adjoined by rooms displaying works by Degas and Manet, as well as sculptures by Rodin, and enormous, glossy-surfaced canvases by Courbet, Cabanel, and the like.

Blue sky over the Big Apple. This was a beautiful outside park filled with lots of people on this cold winter day. The sewer vents were nearby and the smell was unbearable.
