California offers a little of something for everyone.
Fast rides are amazement parks and long peaceful strolls along
the coast line. Engineering marvels include the Golden Gate
and the inner workings of Americans most density populated states.
Among all of this chaos is a wonder place half way between San
Francisco and Los Angeles. The sentinel of Morro Bay, CA is
Morro Rock, a volcanic peak over 21 million years old. This
576-foot-high dome-shaped formation now serves as a preserve
for the spectacular peregrine falcons that nest on top, sometimes
swooping over your Morro Bay hotels heading out to hunt. As
a bird sanctuary, the city of Morro Bay California and the Morro
Bay National Estuary provide a nourishing habitat to more than
250 species. This abundance is celebrated every year on the
Winter Bird Festival weekend. View California
